Sacred Heart Schools Employees Gather to Celebrate Start of 2024-25 School Year

On August 5, 2024, employees at all four Sacred Heart Schools gathered for Mass in the Motherhouse Chapel on Ursuline Campus for the annual event that marks the beginning of a new school year: Commissioning Day. Dr. Karen McNay, SHS President, commissioned new and returning faculty and staff to live out the Ursuline Core Values of Reverence, Service, Leadership and Community throughout the 2024-25 school year. Our community reflected on St. Angela's words, "You have more need to serve others, than they have to be served,”  and spent the rest of the day in service on Ursuline Campus with various agencies:

Water by Women (Crochet with a Cause)
Roo's Wish (fleece blankets)
Hope Scarves (wrapping scarves)
ABLE FamiliesChristian Help in MIngo County, West Virginia (tie dye shirts)
Catholic Charities (back to school backpacks)
St. John Center (men's hygeine kits)
LaCasita (menstual kits)
You SHINE (affirmations to SHS)

Sacred Heart Schools--Authentically Catholic. Proudly Ursuline.
